Top Hip Hop DJ and content producer C-Live has lost his 11-year old son in a tragic house fire

C-Live Tshabalala who also moonlighted as a 5FM radio personality, is in a stable condition at a Johannesburg East hospital.

He sustained burn injuries to his arms and

possible smoke inhalation when he tried to save his son, Nadiff Kgoleng from a fire which started at his house. Kgoleng died in the fire while Tshabalala was taken to hospital.

According to The Sowetan, Tshabalala's grandmother, Virginia, said she was unsure what caused the fire although she heard via a phone call, her grandson begging his father to help him.

"We came from Kwa-Zulu Natal. They called us at about 11am and I could hear the child crying 'please daddy help me' in the background. I could hear the child crying and Clive insisting to get inside the flames, trying to save the child," said Virginia.

This is the second tragedy to befall Tshabalala after the mother of Nadif and his six-year old daughter Funeka, fell to her death at an apartment balcony in Midrand.
